  • The Maksimir park is one of the biggest parks in Zagreb
    Maksimir is one of the neighbourhoods of Zagreb, Croatia. Maksimir stadium and Park Maksimir are located in it. It was named after the bishop Maksimilijan Vrhovac. The "centre" of Maksimir neighbourhood is the Kvaternik square, named after Eugen Kvaternik. The square is now being renewed, so there will be built an underground parking complex which will solve part of the Zagreb's traffic problems. The local newspapers are called "Maksimir, moj kvart" (in croatian: Maksimir, my neighbourhood). The Maksimir park is one of the biggest parks in Zagreb, it also contains a Zoo (which is the seccond biggest one in Croatia) and five lakes also called the Maksimir lakes.

  • Fazana / Fasana
    Fazana (Italian: Fasana) is a town and a municipality in Croatia, a small port and fishermen's centre in the south-western part of the western Istrian coast in the Fazana Strait, 8 km northwest of Pula. It is located on a low part of the coast, well protected from the sea by Brijuni Islands (better known by their Istrian Italian name Brioni). Gentle hills in the interior are under orchards, vineyards and olive-groves; the landscape is dominated by pine forests. Chief occupations include fishing, fish-processing and building of smaller fishing boats. Glass-processing is also well-developed. The town is located on the regional road Vodnjan - Fazana - Veli Vrh - Pula. In 1379, the fleets of Venice (under the command of Vittorio Pisani) and Genoa (under the command of Luciano Doria) fought a battle in the Fazana Strait.

  • Bibinje is a town and harbour in northern Dalmatia
    Bibinje is a town and harbour in northern Dalmatia, 6 km southeast of Zadar. Economy is based on farming, fruit growing (olives, almonds, sour cherries, figs) and fishing. The harbour has a breakwater ending in a pier. Opposite of it is the anchorage for boats. Bibinje provides good opportunities for a pleasant and peaceful rest. Close to it is a small cove with a nice sand beach and pine woods. Various water sports and recreation opportunities are offered. The neighbouring Sukosan features one of the largest and most modern nautical centres on the Adriatic - Zlatna Luka (Golden Harbour).
